World War I and the Fall of the Romanov Dynasty

In 1914, World War I broke out. Russia joined the war on the side of the Allies, but the war effort was plagued by mismanagement and corruption. As the war dragged on, the Russian people grew increasingly disillusioned with Nicholas's government.

In February 1917, a series of strikes and demonstrations erupted in St. Petersburg. Nicholas was forced to abdicate, and the Romanov dynasty came to an end. A provisional government was established, but it was unable to maintain Free Download in the country.

Execution of the Royal Family

In July 1917, the Bolsheviks seized power in Russia. The new government arrested Nicholas and his family and imprisoned them in the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg. On the night of July 16-17, 1918, the royal family was executed by a firing squad.
